"Great speed, great picture, great everything" on by Zackariah32

Pros: Beautiful display, Runs like a charm, lightweight, and very fast

Cons: i have no cons yet

Summary: This computer is great. I got it for doing webdesign as a computer i can take around to meet with my clients, but know it has recently turned into my desktop replacement. The screen is great, the keyboard well spaced, the touchpad is relatively good size, plenty of RAM (1 gig) to run everything smoothly and even play some video games (CS 1.6, Condition Zero, and Source) there is also plenty of harddrive space. It is very lightweight and thin so taking it places is no problem.

"Faster than my parents Sony this, Sony that desk top...I'm NOT KIDDING!" on by tcpavao

Pros: Super fast, can upgrade to 2Gb of RAM, awesome display, 3 USBs, huge 100 Gig HD, nice wide screen display, I can go on and on.

Cons: a bit touchy finger pad but, it's smooth so who cares?

Summary: I just lost my house in August to a lightening strike. All being said, I moved in with my in-laws who have a Sony Vaio desk top that they spent close to three grand for. Anyway, my mother-in-law wanted a laptop and she wanted a Sony. I told her to check out Toshiba first. Only because of my research and, I was doing alot of research. I just lost my house. I needed something with mobility. All of a sudden, my father-in-law shows up with a Toshiba laptop. Nice. The thing was a bit heavy to me though. He got that copper-top 17 inch Satellite model. Anyway, I bought this model and needless to say, it is faster than the one he bought, has more RAM, is faster than his Sony this, Sony that, and was about 200 bucks cheaper than the satellite that he just purchased. By the way, you can save an additional 150 bucks with the mail in rebate. This thing is SUPER FAST for a notebook. Don't hesitate to check one out if you're in the market for a laptop. I also checked reports on notebooks needing the least repair by consumers over time and the only one who topped this was Apple. I am VERY impressed with this notebook.

"Sorry CNET, I disagree" on by benatwork

    Pros: Everything about it

    Cons: None found so far

Summary: 1-gig of fast RAM, 100 GB 5400 rpm HD, DVD-RW and beautiful wide display, what more do you need. I didn't buy the laptop to play games so the small video memory is of little consequence. Low battery life just means I bought a spare...not a big deal. All the recommended competing products have 512 mb of slower RAM and a 4200 rpm HD. Considering my priorities, this is a much better buy than Dell, Sony or HP. Sorry CNET, but your review is way off the mark!

"Fast with great features, a good value." on by georgie3

Pros: Fast CPU, loaded with memory.

    Cons: Heavy, so-so battery life.

Summary: This (M45-S359) is a good desktop replacement notebook. It's loaded with a 2GHz CPU and 1024MB 533 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, so the blanket review on CNET for this laptop series does not do it justice. Battery life is fine for around the house, we get close to 2 hours, much better than the reviewed "S165" model. We won't be taking it everywhere, so battery life isn't of great concern for us.
