Pros: Clear wonderful color
Cons: This unit will cost you but you get what you pay for.
Summary: I think this unit is GREAT!!! Some LCDs have a flash blink at you when changing screens and this model changes screens perfectly. I have not tried to watch a DVD with it so I cant say if there will be an issue as earlier described but I would recommend this unit to anyone. Play games or just surf the web I think it is great for both.

Cons: Umm...none yet.
Summary: I don't know who did the original review about having dvd playback issues, but I watch DVDs on my unit all the time, and there are NO problems with ghosting, no problems with greyscale performance at all. I'm a tech and I've seen HEAPS and heaps of trashy 10 - 12 ms monitors with nasty greyscale issues, but the Viewsonic vx922 doesn't miss a beat. It's FANTASTIC and worth every cent, whether purchased for gaming or dvd playback. It's a great monitor to look at.

Summary: Out of the box this product is very impressive. Viewsonic quality is very evident. I did however need to "stretch" the monitor display from the base a bit due to the fact that the display was not level. I was able to level the display easily with a little tweak to the left while holding both the base and display firmly to avoid any chance of causing damage. When your os starts you will be impressed with the sharpness and clarity of this LCD. Repeating another reviewers question, why is bright turned all the way up on power-up??? After attempts to manually adjust the image after os start, I caved and ended up trying the auto adjust. Suprisingly, this produced a better picture quality vs. my manually adjusting. I immidiately tested for dead pixels and was greatful that the tests revelaed zero. That was a concern for me prior to purchase, so I was very happy with that result. Firing up a DVD using InterVideo was very, very disappointing. Image quality is 5 out of 10 at best. But, I don't usually watch dvd's on my pc so I wasn't overly conerned. Overall, this display is very clear, very fast, and the construction is excellent. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who wishes to spend the least and get the best performance for applications and gaming. If you use your pc to watch dvd's, definitely look elsewhere.

After playing other dvd's on this display, it seems that I misspoke in my initial review. Seems only selective disks such as back-up's and older disks are not as sharp as they might be on a crt display. Getting a great hdtv like picture on this display for newer and original disks. -

Pros: AMAZING color, great response, very sexy!
Cons: None I can see
Summary: I work as a graphic designer, doing 12 hours day's - ranging from coding to graphic apps, to online games (HL2, Q3/Q4) and I must add that I'm impressed.
Vivid color, fantastic response in games and a very good looker. It might cost some, but boy is it worth every cent!
Most bad reviews I could find before I got mine was:
1) non adjustable height,
2) mounting bracket was assembled skew,
3) manual color adjustment
My answers to those:
1) It pivots, high enough for any desk, unless you are sitting on the ground. I used to use 3 large books to prop up my old CRT & now I dont.
2) No issues with mine
3) No issues with mine, just bumped the contrast done a bit.
Another myth is that you cant get true black, well my blacks are pretty black - I know my black...
A good monitor, many happy days ahead, 2 thumbs up! -

Pros: Super A grade quality display best for GAMER!!!
Cons: Too bright contrast too high to start with, need manual adjustment...
Summary: I did many research online for advice buying LCD, compare diff model spec, professional review, actual buyer review and price check...
My conclusion was this ViewSonic VX922 19" LCD, and I'm right, I bought this LCD for 360CAD and start using it every nite gaming, it does require some adjustment to reduce the brightness and contrast but otherwise everything is perfect, for gamers this is the best LCD to go for. Don't wait anymore.
