"Great Email Device" on by k.vijayganesh

Pros: Great Screen, Great Battery life, Push Email, EVDO, Tethered Modem, Great Call Quality

    Cons: No SD card slot

Summary: I bought this 8703E 3 days back at a sprint store. This is my second BB. First one was 7520 (Nextel). One thing I love about the BB is the Push Email.I am really amazed at the battery life. It is a great business device. Not much multimedia. There is no inbuilt camera and I frankly dont care about it. One thing that RIM needs to look at is make the email more efficient by letting us add the attachments. If RIM claims it to be device that will keep us productive out of office I think they have to think some of the users carry lots of files and sometimes we need to send them on the move so they need to add a SD card slot and also capability to send attachments with email. I think if they did that this would be a prfect device. I have a Treo 700p also which is a GGGrrreat device only thing is the battery life is terrible in it. I have this device to complement my Palm Treo 700P. One more great thing about this device is it has a great call quality

"Excellent phone AND communicator" on by Glen Mori

Pros: Excellent reception, Blackberry push e-mail, looks much better than the gray Cingular version; enterprise server allows me to get my work e-mail continuously

Cons: Calendar, to-do list, notepad are cumbersome applications; not as much shareware available as my Sony Clie PDA

Summary: I wanted to get a Blackberry for some time but did not want to deal with the poor, noisy reception of Cingular or T-Mobile. I've been a dedicated Sprint customer for years and was happy when this phone came out. I've become instantly addicted to it. It's great to be able to see your work e-mail at a glance in the morning without having to log-in with PC.

"Not all the latest features but it works consistenly!" on by jmandoman

Pros: Solid workhorse. Doesn't crash. Great display.

Cons: Lacks the latest media features and it's on the large side.

Summary: It's dependable. I needed a smartphone that had a good size and crisp display, that would forward all my email accounts to my pocket instantly, and provided good cellphone quality and coverage. The Sprint EVDO net is very fast. Even when I have no bars for the phone, emails come through. Internet browsing is very quick and readable on the large display. Also, it doesn't crash several times a day like my windows based ipaq used to.

"Bought mine used and it's great." on by mschleisner

Pros: It is so easy to use and Navigation is like having a tom-tom in your car. Just did a trip from Delaware to Florida and that came in handy.

Cons: The trackwheel is a major problem, mine has been fixed so many times. They say dirt gets in there? Thats why the new ones have trackballs? Not the best solution. They say touch screen is best. Fingerprints are not great....

Summary: The price is right and the trackwheel is the only problem so what is the downside? Only that. I hope to upgrade soon again to another phone and trying the trackball unit now too. I don't need a touch screen but they is what everyone is doing so we may need to go that route as well. I have heard from all who I know who have touch screens they are great, That is what I need to see is one that isn't full of fingerprints Locking and unlocking phones get way too hard. I want easy. Pay attention guys, I want to push a switch one way for screen and the other for off. Wow great thought. What is the problems with that? Like on a computer only a switch back and forth to make it hard to turn it on by accident. Mine is a search and lock. When finishing a call on the road you want to just switch off the monitor so to speak, make it easy not hard or a letter or number off and on. You choose yourself. Why do I have to look for it and at the end of the list mind you?
