"Waste of Money" on by bluchunx
Pros: Passes through sound with reasonable accuracy.
Cons: Barely perceptible noise cancellation, none in the high range. Ear buds are too large, hard, uncomfortable, fall out of place.
Summary: As the other reviewers have noted: It offers very little noise cancellation, and it is all the worse because it won't fit properly in most ears. The ear buds are too large and are hard and uncomfortable. For me, they fall out of place almost immediately. Any noise-cancelling unit that uses ear buds will have to have an exceptional fit. Another thing about noise cancellation in general, and this includes high-end ones I've tried, is that they do a poor job of cancelling higher frequencies, such as paper shuffling and most of the human vocal range. I encourage you never to buy a noise cancellation product that you haven't tried for yourself in an environment with a full range of sound frequencies.

"Poor fitting design spoils them" on by daveell
Pros: Electronic cancelling works
Cons: SOund leaks past them, uncomfortable
Summary: These cancel out hum/engine noise and not speech. Reading the reviews a lot of people find them uncomfortable - as do I. They do not physically block sound as they are at the entrance to your ear - ear bud types are more effective before you even turn on the cancelling.
I fitted slicsound.com ear bud converters to mine which makes them comfortable and act as earplugs as well as speakers. They were useless on aircraft without these converters. -
"THE BEST THING EVER" on
Pros: I love it more than any other earphones i have ever had. Last opinion was wrong. It is impossibal to cancel out all noise. This works very well. someone can talk at me and i cant hear them. Great for in class. If you dont want it to cancel the noise then
Cons: needing a battery is a little annoying.

"Doesn't cancel noise, which is sort of the point." on
Pros: Perfectly decent pair of portable headphones.
Cons: The noise cancellation just doesn't work. Bought them at an airport and they did nothing for the travel noise.
