Pros: Nice color screen, small size, user friendly, Sound quality great.
Cons: Cheesy rubbery case. Short battery life. No line-in recording.
Summary: Love the color screen. Easy to read. The quality, feel and size of unit is very comfortable in my hand.
FM stations come in very good. No problems with signal.
Battery life is disappointing. I don't get close to the advertised 'up to 12 hrs' - more like half that and that's w/minimal use of backlighting, lower-compression format songs, no excessive use of buttons.
The case provided is awful. It's cheesy, ugly, whitish probably meant to be clear, rubber that is not sturdy on belt or waistband. It's hard to get on and off the player and it covers up all the buttons. Although they are still usable it does make the next/ff or back/rw and pause buttons a little more difficult to use. For nearly $250-$300 a decent case should be a no brainer. And with such short battery life, to include a travel adaptor would be nice customer service gesture.
If it weren't for the case and battery life I'd give it a 9+. -

Summary: the iriver h10 is great. i give it a 9 beacuse nothing is perfect. first the pros, the iriver has a great color screen though i do recommend a screen protector which you can but on ebay for about 3 to 5 dollars. Fm radio and recording is great, the reception comes out real clear without any annoying buzzing sound. Another good feature is all the eq settings there is a lot and you can't even tell the difference between them but its good to have plus you can always put your own settings. i can't comment on viewing pictures because i have not uploaded any on to the iriver yet but im pretty sure they come out fine. the last great feature is the voice recording it comes out clear. i used it in class to record a lecture and it was great.
Now the cons. like anything there is always something that doesn't quite live up to your expectations like the case it comes with. its fine for not getting any scrathes on the iriver but isn't all that empressive looking, actually it's kind of ugly but it does the job. Also the clip that comes with the case is sort of useless in my opinion.
The only other thing that i didn't like from the iriver is that you have to updated it when you get it, and when you updated if you have anything on your player already it gets deleted so make sure you have your music and photos on the computer. but it is kind of a good thing if its for the benifit of the h10.
well over all the iriver is a great mp3 player and i advise you to buy it at a best buy store because right now they sell it for 180 dollars -

I and my wife have 4 different iRiver products. Many times we have tried to contact them about problems with different units and customer service will not respond. If your unit is 6mos old, driver updates are impossible to find. We also have sandisk and I pods and have never had this problem. After ten e-mails about different things such as driver updates and replacement battery doors both me and my wife have yet to get a response to either one of our e-mail addresses.
Save your money we have had to of there units stop responding. And can not get them fixed. JUNK -
