2007 Los Angeles Auto Show

By Kevin Massy
Here we've barely shaken the dust of the 2006 Paris Motor Show from our feet, and it's already time for another round of new model launches, concept cars, product announcements, and cutting-edge aftermarket gear at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The show will present the first chance to see many 2008 models, and we're looking forward to updated versions of the Ford Escape and the Saturn Vue, as well as soft-top variations of the Chrysler Sebring, and also the new Audi TT. Crossover SUVs continue to be a red-hot segment, and the LA show will feature no fewer than three new models in the shape of the GMC Acadia, the Volkswagen Tiguan, and the Buick Enclave. The show will also see variations on the themes of familiar models as Nissan unveils its 2007 Sentra SE-R and Altima hybrid, BMW gives a U.S. debut to its Hydrogen 7, and Aston Martin introduces its V-8 Vantage convertible.

Other highlights will include a big announcement from the major German automakers on next-generation diesel engines, and a cavalcade of creative concepts for the LA Auto Show Design Challenge.

Exotic cars
There are a good number of exotic cars on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show, with a few North American debuts thrown in. These cars are notable for their low 0 to 60mph times and their high prices.

Concept cars are our favorite part of any auto show. Los Angeles is rich in new concepts from Mazda, Honda, Ford, and more.
