Best in class: 17-inch LCD monitors

CNET Labs uses the DisplayMate test utility to evaluate every monitor that's reviewed on CNET. Every LCD withstands a battery of tests to see how well it renders gray and color gradients, complex patterns, and grids. Though no monitor has ever received a perfect score of 100, some have come close. So far in 2005, we've put nearly 20 17-inch LCDs to these rigorous tests.
