These solutions aren't to be confused with the industrial-strength equipment used by large corporations, but they offer plenty of useful features for small businesses and home offices, and they're also substantially less expensive than full-fledged file servers.
The Buffalo LinkStation and the Maxtor Shared Storage Drive deliver the most bang for the buck, and each includes an integrated USB print server. The Mirra media server is designed primarily as a backup solution, but you can also use it to share digital images over the Internet. The Linksys EFG120 supports gigabit Ethernet and is well suited for small businesses in need of a more flexible storage solution that allows you to swap in an additional hard drive. | |||
