A PC adapter is to a router like Robin is to Batman--a trusty component that's integral to the team but doesn't get that much attention. The Pre-N MIMO routers, while impressive, can't really shine unless paired with their companion MIMO adapters. These Pre-N adapters are more expensive than their plain 802.11g counterparts, but if you can't wait another second for faster throughput and greater range on your SOHO wireless network, outfit your laptop with one of these cards and roam as far as your home will let you (just remember to buy both the card and the router from the same vendor).
