McAfee Security line

Network Associates has renamed its popular McAfee line of security products McAfee Security. And while they were at it, the company slipped out a whole new set of upgrades--one for each of its privacy and security titles.

The new name is all well and good, but if you're planning to use one--or all--of these apps to protect your PC against viruses, malicious hackers, thieves, and other creepy Netizens, you'll want to make sure that these upgrades actually work. We took a close look at each app, from McAfee's basic Firewall to its bundled security suite, then we ran it through CNET Labs and turned over the product to our critical reviewers. Read each review below to find out which McAfee products get the job done best and whether any one of them stands up to its Norton counterpart.
