|See it all on your cell: phones with large displays|
In the ongoing quest to shrink the cell phone, there can be significant drawbacks. Though a handset may be compact and portable, it can also be saddled with a diminutive, washed-out display. This is especially problematic for users with less than perfect vision, as eyestrain shouldn't be part of the mobile experience. Yet there are models that have visible and vibrant screens. Smart phones such as the PalmOne Treo 650 and the Siemens SX66 sport some of the largest displays around, but you're not limited to such pricey models. Sprint's LG MM-535 and the Sony Ericsson S710a for Cingular have multimedia features and generous screens, while the Nextel i605 offers an eye-popping LCD that's a big improvement over previous Nextels. Be advised that big-screen phones tend to be bulky, but in return, you'll get colorful, crisp displays that will beautifully show off text, photos, and graphics.
