Talk until you're blue in the face: Bluetooth headsets

As the number of Bluetooth cell phones has increased, the number of headsets has grown even faster. With booms, no booms, and a variety of ways in which to wear these headsets, you may have a bewildering time finding the correct model for you and your mobile. And don't forget: while the headset's comfort is important, sound quality is the factor that really matters. The Gennum Zen has great audio, but we didn't take to its cumbersome design and awkward fit. Similarly, though the Cellpoint Flamingo had clear audio quality as well, it was somewhat difficult to put on, and it fit in only our right ear. Both the Plantronics M2500 and the Motorola HS850 scored high on comfort and sound, but their controls could be improved, and their overall fit was a tad loose. Lastly, while we enjoyed the Nokia HS-11W's fit and comfort, its call quality was inconsistent.
