High-definition televisions based on Texas Instruments'
DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology are rabidly popular with HDTV buyers, and for good reason. Among big-screen
microdisplays, DLP sets have consistently exhibited the best contrast and home-theater image quality. Of the various DLP manufacturers, Samsung has been at it the longest and has the market cornered on releasing new rear-projection DLP technologies before anybody else. That's why we've assembled this first look at Samsung's 2005 lineup of DLPs, from the entry-level 46-inch set to a 67-inch monster driven by the latest of those new DLP technologies:
1080p. We've also thrown in a review of last year's pedestal model, which still holds up pretty well.
