HDTV looks its best on big screens with high resolution, so here are the top contenders for the best of the best. Each of the models below has 1080p native resolution, which should deliver all of the detail of today's highest-res broadcast format, 1080i. They offer screens large enough to enjoy all of that HD detail yet cost half as much--if not less--than what you'd expect to pay for a similarly sized plasma. In other words, they're right in the sweet spot for people serious about big-screen image quality.

You can read the full details on each of these HDTVs' performance by checking out the in-depth reviews.
