Flat-panel TV is the must-have home electronics category of the decade, but high prices have kept them from the masses. Until now, that is. Decent-size LCD flat-panels--26 to 32 inches--are now approaching the $1,000 price range. And while many may be from "no-name" manufacturers, these budget models offer wide-screen aspect ratios, true high-definition resolution, and the latest connections. With a $1,500 budget, you should have enough money left for a home theater in a box--with a built-in CD/DVD changer. And, if you're willing to bend the rules a bit, you can sneak in a TiVo DVR as well--the company consistently offers mail-in rebates that will help offset the required monthly or lifetime service fee. The fact that it does double duty as a fairly robust digital media server helps offset the fact that it can't record HD programming. Home-theater bundles for every budget:
