This car parks itself, kinda
With the optional Advanced Parking Guidance System (APGS), the LS 460 can park itself...sort of. It can sidle into a parallel spot or just back in, provided strict guidelines are met. The APGS requires both the navigation system and the Intuitive Parking Assist (IPA) sonar-based distance warning system, as it uses both the nav system screen and the IPA sensors. But it goes beyond passive warning systems and actually steers the car into parallel or back-in parking spaces on near-level ground.
