Even though the car doesn't have a gas engine, its grille is functional, letting air through to a radiator that keeps the FCHV's fuel stack cooler than its already moderate operating temperature. An 80-kilowatt motor drives the front wheels, providing enough torque for strong, smooth acceleration during our short test-drive in fairly heavy city traffic.
