Make outbound calls
Now, in addition to PC-to-PC calls between Messenger contacts, you can dial landlines and cell phones from your Windows Live Messenger contact list. Simply click your contact to call. You can choose to call the person's computer or enter a number. You'll have to sign up with one of Messenger's partners, such as Verizon, to set up a prepaid calling account.
