Slide 6 of 10
Windows Live Call beta
If you choose to call a new number in the Messenger contact list, you'll be talking to the Windows Live Call beta screen. Here you get a virtual dial pad, call history, and details such as your account balance and time remaining. In the case of Verizon's Web Calling plan, it will cost you about 2 cents per minute to call within the continental United States. International rates vary.
Unfortunately, unlike with Yahoo Messenger and Skype, there is currently no option to accept inbound calls from landlines or cell phones.
