Czech security vendor Grisoft offers AVG Anti-Virus 7.1 Free Edition and a paid version, AVG Anti-Virus 7.1 Professional Single Edition. Both are solid, albeit with a few caveats.

Be sure to register
In addition to setting up e-mail scans, the AVG Anti-Virus 7.1 Free Edition installation wizard asks that you register. This might seem strange for a free product, but unlike users of the paid version of AVG Anti-Virus, who get program updates automatically for up to two years, users of the free version receive e-mail informing them when the latest updated version is available for download.
