GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition
The thoughtful and durable design of GoPro cameras is geared toward recording fun excursions and extreme adventures. My personal lack of interesting hobbies doesn't give me the chance to use a GoPro for anything cool -- unless you consider a time lapse of me in my dimly lit living room, watching the new season of "Arrested Development," and eating an obscene amount of pizza, worthy of public spectacle. Sound interesting? Didn't think so.
For those spending their time more creatively, the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition records 1080p full-HD video and shoots photos up to 12-megapixels. The small, lightweight camera is protected by a polycarbonate exoskeletal housing and is shockproof as well as waterproof up to 60 meters. The Black Edition of the GoPro Hero 3 has Wi-Fi capabilities, improved low-light performance, and a faster processor than other models.
GoPro cameras capture unique perspectives and their small, durable design beg to be mounted on a helmet or handlebars. Unfortunately, they don't appeal to the average consumer. You would be making a terrible mistake if you purchased one to record a family function. For a full review click here.
