Frotz is a player for interactive fiction and text adventures. The player comes with 25 quirky and fascinating interactive pieces to explore, plus the software can browse the Interactive Fiction Database and download new software, although the process of doing so is a little confusing for newcomers. Minimalist? Extremely, but text adventures are an even better fit for the larger iPad keyboard than they are for the iPhone, where Frotz originally debuted. If you're a reader and like games, look no further. Another positive: the new iPad's Retina Display shows off Frotz's text even more crisply than before.
