If you know someone who wants to get creative with a dSLR -- using the camera, and not in a filtery kind of way -- Lensbaby's special-effects lenses are a fun way to do it. The Spark is the cheapest of the line and makes a great gift for anyone with a Canon or Nikon body.
The good: The Lensbaby Spark is a cheap, entertaining way to do special effects the old-fashioned way.
The bad: Areas of focus aren't extremely sharp when viewed at full size.
The bottom line: A fun-to-use lens system, the Lensbaby Spark's low price makes it a great add-on for entry-level dSLR users who want to try their hands at special effects sans filters.
