Sony PSone (2000)

Just before the release of the PlayStation 2, Sony went back and redesigned the original console as a smaller, less-expensive package called the PSone. A sold-separately 5-inch LCD screen add-on turned the PSone into a semi-portable package. Both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 would eventually be repackaged as smaller, lighter variants.
