Dear CNET members,
Happy new year, everyone! It's a brand spanking new year, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the new technologies and ideas of 2008. The technology industry is already off to a busy start. Coming next week, we have the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, where vendors show off all the cool, innovative gadgets, and what's to come for us gadget and technology enthusiasts. What, you can't attend? No worries--neither can I. But our CNET editors will be there in full force, blogging from the show floor, shooting videos of new products, and hosting the Best of CES awards. So prepare yourself for all the exciting news and product announcements by checking out our CES 2008 preview pages and video of what we expect to make headlines at CES this year. for 2008

"1. Wiis will still be difficult to find; so will non-half-***ed games for that platform. 2. Touch-screen iMac....yeah, not going to happen. 3. "Wii global dominating, robots save world?"
"Here are some of my predictions. Some might be a bit far-fetched: 1. Wii sales will slow down slightly in early 2008. But will soon be back to an all-time high when Wii Fit and Smash Bros Brawl are released. (Stock will increase but will still not be enough for the high demand until summer or later in the year.) 2. Apple will release a Tablet PC that will have multitouch technology but will be missing an optical drive or a keyboard. (It will not be as big as a MacBook)..."
