Every luxury car maker has one model that sits at the top of the pile, a flagship sedan that pulls out all the stops. And the trend toward advanced automotive technology means these cars sport the latest gear for entertaining car occupants and helping the driver get to his or her destination safely. Our current roster includes cars from Audi, Infiniti, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz, with features such as blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, navigation systems that show traffic information, iPod and cell phone connectivity, and signature audio systems.

Bottom line
The 2009 Audi S8 is a very powerful big sedan with some excellent handling features, but it doesn't offer all of the latest in-dash gizmos, and you trade a luxury ride for performance.
The 2008 Infiniti M45x offers some of the most cutting-edge cabin tech at a rock-bottom price, compared with the competition. The car is a good luxury cruiser with some performance aspirations.
The 2009 Mercedes-Benz CL550 impresses with plenty of gee-whiz features while offering a more than comfortable ride, but some of its core cabin tech is subpar.
