OK, let's get one thing out of the way quickly. There are two different sizes of 22-inch monitors. There are true 22-inchers and there are monitors that measure 21.5 inches.
True 22-inchers are 16:10 aspect ratio monitors with resolutions of 1680x1050, while 21.5-inch monitors--which are half an inch smaller--actually have a larger resolution of 1920x1080. This is thanks to their Full HD, 16:9 aspect ratio.
