Last November I did a roundup of the top sub-$200 monitors. That was six months ago, so a refresh is definitely due--possibly even overdue.
The following was list of the five best sub-$200 monitors and since its posting and only over the course of a few days, their prices have begun to increase. So, were changing the name of this roundup from "$200" to "$250". Even at $50 more, these are still great deals. However, our choices come with a few caveats. First, all monitors on the list must have at least a 22-inch screen. Second, all monitors must have been in stock at an online retailer at the time of posting. And third, all the prices are the current prices for each monitor at the major e-tailers (Amazon, Newegg, The Monitor Vendor, etc).
