Small and home offices are often short on space, but that doesn't mean they have fewer needs. Multifunction laser printers have a lot to offer in this area: fast print speeds; high-quality text prints; scan, copy, and often fax functionality; and relatively low costs. While they don't have to cost an arm and a leg, a higher purchase cost often translates to faster, better prints and lower per-page costs. Here are a few multifunction printers that fit a wide range of office needs.

Review summary	The HP Color LaserJet CM1017 MFP is a great choice for small offices that need a multifunction laser with excellent print quality.	With low print costs, great print quality, and decent speeds, the Samsung SCX-4200 is a no-brainer for a home office or very small office on a budget.	In a vacuum, the Lexmark X342n looks like a decent all-in-one monochrome laser printer for a small office environment, but ultimately, it loses out to the Dell 1815dn in terms of features and speed.	The Dell 1815dn is a good choice for a home office or a very small workgroup that needs a network-ready multifunction machine for monochrome printing, scanning, faxing, and copying.	The Xerox Phaser 6115MFP/N has the potential to be a great printer, but it falls short in the end. Still, it does some things right, and has a generous feature set. Stock up on patience before using this multifunction laser printer.
