As the first Google Android smartphone, the T-Mobile G1 made quite a splash. Google's open platform allows for great possibilities through the Android Market and downloadable applications, but you can also add a few accessories to get more out of your device. Before anything else, you might want to invest in a protective case. Although the G1 has a weird shape, there are multiple cases available to protect the smartphone, including the Red Shield Protector Case. It comes in multiple colors as well as textures.
For enjoying music and video, you'll probably want to plug in a nice pair of headphones, but unfortunately, the G1 isn't equipped with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. The good news is there are audio adapters such as the Seidio model that you can purchase for cheap and lets you use your favorite pair of 'phones.
Moving onto the display, the T-Mobile G1 features a capacitive touch screen, which means it will only respond to the touch of your finger and not your fingernail or other objects, like a stylus. However, if you crave the accuracy of a stylus, the Soft-Touch Stylus is a good solution. Finally, for the road, have a vehicle charger handy in case your G1 is running low on juice and if you must take a call while driving, use a Bluetooth headset, such as the Aliph Jawbone 2.
