Revenge of the Razr: Motorola introduces the Razr2

We'll admit readily that when we saw the very first pictures of the Motorola Razr back in the summer of 2004, we underestimated its popularity. "So it's thin," we thought. "Will that be enough?" Now, three years later, it's clear it was quite enough. Moto's Razr shot quickly to the top of the cell phone charts and sparked a host of thin phones from almost every manufacturer. Moto continues to ride the Razr wave with a host of new versions, but it's been quite a while since the company has done anything with the Razr that's been especially noteworthy. But with its new Razr2 series, Motorola has definitely caught our attention once again. Not only do the Razr2s give the familiar design a complete--and much-needed--overhaul but they also offer high-end features and pleasing performance. AT&T has chosen the GSM Razr2 V9, while Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and Alltel have picked up the CDMA Razr2 V9m. We've reviewed all four phones, and we can report that we like what we've seen.

Bottom line
The Motorola Razr2 V9 is a great successor to the first Razr. Despite a few quibbles, it has an eye-catching design, solid performance, and an impressive feature set.
