Spiffy Sony Ericsson phones

Though Sony Ericsson has made some excellent cell phones, it's still a bit player in the United States when compared with powerhouses such as Samsung, LG, and Motorola. You can buy unlocked Sony Ericsson models, but few its handsets land at U.S. carriers. As we've said many times before, that's really too bad. Yet AT&T is the exception to this rule. In the last year the carrier has offered a selection of Sony Ericsson handsets, the most recent being the Sony Ericsson Z750a. Though we didn't love its design the Z750a offers a decent selection of features. AT&T also offers the Sony Ericsson Z310a, the Sony Ericsson W580i and the Sony Ericsson W300i. The Z310a is a basic camera phone while the latter two models are Walkman handsets. Our most recent review was the unlocked Sony Ericsson K850i. Though its controls and keypad were disappointing, it offers an excellent feature set and admirable performance.
