Picture this: Digital photo frames that do right by your images

If you've had to buy any analog photo frames lately, you know that they can get expensive really fast. Now that digital photo frames have started to come down in price, they can be a nice alternative to an end table full of wood, glass, and glossy prints because one digital frame can serve up dozens of photos in one big, repeating slide show. As with any electronics, some digital photo frames are better than others. Here are a handful of frames we've reviewed this year.

| The Bottom Line | Despite a few minor shortcomings, Philips's 9FF2M4 digital photo frame offers impressive image quality and a strong feature set that put it near the top of the digital photo frame class. | The Westinghouse Digital Photo Display DPF-0701 has some intriguing features and is fairly simple to use, but we've seen photo frames that offer sharper image quality for the same price. | The Philips Digital Photo Display may not be cheap and doesn't have the ability to tap into the Internet for automatic photo delivery, but it is one of the nicer digital photo frames currently available. | Not a bad digital photo frame for those on a tight budget, but by failing to include sound, Royal missed an opportunity to take the PF80 to the next level. | While the Media Street DF-EM2 effectively combines a portable DVD player and digital photo frame into one multipurpose device, we wish photo display functionality was better. |
