Best 8 & 9 megapixel digital cameras

Though high-resolution photos certainly have their uses--cropping in on small details, printing very large, compositing--they're generally overkill for most snapshot photographers. These models are no longer on the cutting edge of technology or resolution, but they provide a little more elbow room for cropping, at reasonable prices.

Canon PowerShot SD870 IS (Black)
