Steve Jobs made headlines earlier this year when he pulled a laptop out of an envelope, but the MacBook Air isn't the only ultrathin laptop we've seen this year.

At its thickest, the MacBook Air measures only 0.76 inch thick. Along the narrow edge of its tapered profile, that number drops to 0.16 inch.
