I like the nav system's traffic feature, plus the iPod and phone integration.

The M3 has all of the features I expected at this price point: Bluetooth, navigation, digital audio, and iPod integration. However, BMW doesn't exceed those expectations.

Plenty of tech toys, but you could make a case that they are just a little dated. And since iDrive is their gatekeeper, the toys suffer by association.

Although it doesn't have traffic, I give the C63 a higher score for its hard-drive-based nav, onboard music storage, and much better-sounding stereo than the M3.

By simply placing a hard drive in the dashboard, Mercedes has created a cabin tech experience that's faster and more useful than that of the BMW.
4

With a hard drive, a car simply excels in this category--it's where cabin tech is going. The C63 just got there sooner. Live traffic would make this a 5.
