Smart phones want to have fun, too
RIM BlackBerry Curve 8300 - silver (AT&T)
RIM BlackBerry Curve

Smart phones aren't just about work. In this round, we compare the quality of the multimedia and entertainment features of the mobiles.

RIM BlackBerry Curve 8300 - silver (AT&T)
RIM BlackBerry Curve
4

The Curve has excellent multimedia options, like a 2.0-megapixel camera that produces sharp images and an MP3 player with pretty good sound quality.
4

I have to give it to the Curve in this round due to its support for AT&T Music, the music ID application, and the snazzy video player. With a 2-megapixel camera, the Curve took slightly better photos.
3

Even though the Curve has a better camera, it doesn't record video, so I have to knock it for that issue. Also, I think the media player isn't quite as robust as the Dash.

T-Mobile Dash (aka HTC Excalibur)
T-Mobile Dash
3

The Dash fails just a little bit on the multimedia front with a 1.3-megapixel camera and washed-out images.
3

Though the Dash has a Real Media Player, it doesn't quite measure up to the Curve's media prowess. Also, as noted above, its camera quality wasn't quite as good.
4

It's true that the T-Mobile Dash took some poor pictures, but to me, the music and video playback are more important. The Dash has a more refined player, and it's compatible with SlingPlayer Mobile.
