Sexiness is one thing, but are the devices easy to use? In Round 2, we examine the design and usability of the devices' navigation controls and keypad buttons.

Apple iPhone |
4 Save for a single button, the iPhone is all touch screen. On the whole, the interface is easier to use then I expected, and the multitouch feature certainly is pretty, but I still enjoy buttons. That's why I have to give it to the Voyager this round. |
3 This round is a draw for me. I found the iPhone's menu system easier to navigate than the Voyager's. That said, I still prefer having a tactile keyboard. |
4 Navigating the iPhone is quite easy, thanks to the its multitouch abilities and the easy-to-use touch screen interface. But the lack of keys does require a learning curve, especially when typing out text messages. |

LG Voyager |
5 The Voyager has one of the best alphabetic keyboards I've seen on a cell phone. It also does a fine job with its other internal controls, and the tactile feedback on the touch screen is very welcome. |
3 Being a Verizon phone, the Voyager uses the carrier's kludgy menu system, which isn't the most intuitive. I do, however, like the vibrating feedback of the touch screen, and being a heavy texter, I love the full QWERTY keyboard. |
5 The LG Voyager is a clear winner in this round, due to the combination of both a touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. In the end, nothing quite beats the comfort and security of tactile keys for text messaging. |
