LG Dare (Verizon Wireless) |
3 Again, the Dare has it all on paper, but the execution sucks. Scrolling Web pages is awkward, the music player feels generic, and video organization isn't very sophisticated. |
4 Web browsing on the Dare isn't quite as smooth as on the Instinct. However, I felt music and video playback was better. Songs sounded a touch richer and watching video was definitely better with a clearer picture. |
4 The Dare simply killed when it came to photo and music quality, I feel. However, it didn't do so hot with the Web browsing, which I felt was just slow and clunky. |

Samsung Instinct SPH-M800 - black (Sprint) |
5 As an MP3-player addict, I'm reluctant to give kudos to the music player on a phone, but the Instinct's is very well done. Video quality is smooth and the Web browser doesn't feel overly crippled. |
3 The larger screen makes the Web-browsing experience better on the Instinct. However, watching videos on the Instinct was frustrating. Clips wouldn't start half of the time and when they did, they were extremely pixilated. |
4 Again, I have to give the Instinct negative points with the Web browsing. And I thought the music player held up well in comparison to the Dare's. |
