Prizefight: iPod Classic vs. Zune

JUDGES: Jasmine France, Donald Bell, and Brian Tong

If you want to store more than 100GB of music and video in your pocket, there are really only two compelling choices in front of you: the iPod Classic or Zune 120. Both of these hard-drive-based portable media players offer 120GB of storage at a cost of $249, but that's about where the similarities end. Features such as screen size, file support, FM radio, Wi-Fi, battery life, and software compatibility differ dramatically between the Zune and the iPod Classic, forcing a tough choice for potential buyers.

If you're having a hard time deciding between these two high-capacity titans of portable media, our panel of three experts will make the call for you by subjecting both devices to five rounds of scrutiny.

About the judges

Jasmine France is a Senior Associate Editor for MP3 players and digital audio at CNET. Of the seemingly endless array of products that pass through her hands, only the strong survive.

Donald Bell is the Senior Editor for MP3 players and digital audio at CNET. He's still making up his mind on whether MP3 players are the best thing to happen to music, or the worst.

Brian Tong is an Editor and Host of Prizefight on CNET TV. He's currently shifting himself from iTunes to the Amazon Music Store.
