It's not easy being extra large in a world gone nano. Neither the Archos 705 WiFi nor Cowon Q5W will win any contests for slim design, however, both products offer plenty in the pimp department. Like Flavor Flav's clock, or Lil' Jon's crunk chalice, living large means buying big. In round 2, we focus on device size and design, as well as any additional pimp-factor that makes the user feel extra cool.

Cowon Q5W	3 I like 'em small. The Q5 is pretty heavy and thick, though the screen is sweet. I like the black coloring with the gunmetal gray strip wrapped around the edge.	3 If it wasn't so damn thick and heavy, the Cowon Q5W could be a sexy beast. It has nice lines and an expensive feel, but the screen is very reflective, the Wi-Fi antenna seems out of place. It lacks a built-in kickstand such as the one found on the Archos.	4 A smaller screen but a cleaner feel to the design. It's heavy for its size and the screen is too reflective. I'm feeling the looks because it reminds me of a flat-panel TV, just smaller.	10
Archos 705 WiFi	2 I'm torn here. Giant screen = sexy; giant body = not so much. Compact size trumps gigantic viewing area in my book, so down go the points! However, you have to love the kickstand.	3 Personally, I like the Archos aesthetic of bare aluminum, although it's not as James Bond as the Cowon. The built-in speakers on the bottom don't do much for the design.	3 The screen is a whole lot bigger, but so is the device. Its large size doesn't make it that sexy to me. I do like the less-reflective screen and its improvements over previous Archos models.	8
