If you want a wireless audio experience--whether at home or on the go--you're going to need some components. Bluetooth 2.0 (aka A2DP aka stereo Bluetooth) offers a simple and effective way to cut the cords between your sound source (MP3 player) and audio output (headphones/speakers). Enter the iSkin Cerulean TX + RX Wireless Stereo Bluetooth Transmitter & Receiver--the name says it all. This made for iPod accessories package comes with all you need to bridge the musical gap without the use of cords (for the most part). Be forewarned, though: the convenience of wireless audio doesn't come cheap. The TX + RX will set you back about $150.

The included USB adapter lets you use the transmitter with any audio source

The TX + RX package comes with three key components: a Bluetooth transmitter (the TX), a Bluetooth receiver (the RX), and a USB adapter. The TX fits right onto the bottom of your iPod, or it can be connected to the USB adapter. The Adapter has a USB port for use with your computer as well as a standard 3.5mm input jack for use with any audio device. So, even though the product is made for the iPod, it can really be used to transmit music from any audio source, albeit in a more clunky fashion.

Arguably the most interesting part of this package is the RX, if only because it's the only product we've come across to include a receiver as well. What this means is you don't necessarily need an A2DP speaker (such as the Advantek Networks' Bluetooth Wireless Speakers) or a set of headphones (such as the complementing iSkin Cerulean F1) in order to use the transmitter. The RX attaches to any iPod-ready speaker system via a built-in 30-pin port, and it includes a standard 3.5mm headphone jack for attaching to any other audio source, such as your home audio setup or a pair of wired headphones.
