Quick Take: The JVC GR-D250 is an inexpensive MiniDV camcorder with a 25X optical zoom. It's essentially the same camera as the slightly higher-priced JVC GR-D270 but does not have an SD/MMC card slot and a USB port for saving and downloading stills, a built-in video light, included PC software, or a few of the special-effects features of the pricier model.
