Go to the peripherals forum to share your insights.Get the best picture from your flat-panel displayStep 6: A CRT monitor's refresh rate may be in the 75Hz-to-100Hz range, and you can generally resolve flicker problems by increasing the rate until the flicker stops. But you can't do that with LCDs. In fact, the native refresh rate is apt to be only 60Hz, and DisplayMate's Soneira notes that a different value, particularly a higher value such as 75Hz, will reduce image quality in analog mode and may introduce strobing effects and some image breakup when there's motion. So ignore the "higher is better" rule and make sure your monitor adapter is set to the native rate.Monitor your refresh rateGet the best picture from your flat-panel display
