DVRs for HDTV?

I'm impressed with DVD/hard drive recorders, but I haven't seen anything about their ability to record HDTV. Are they capable of doing this? With HDTV so close to being officially rolled out, why is no one talking about this?

because the DVD Video format doesn't have enough resolution for high-def--you'll have to wait for higher-capacity formats such as Blu-ray
Cable and satellite companies do offer HD-capable hard disk-based DVRs like:
