Bookmark your MP3s December 14, 2004 | I listen to long lectures that are usually one track (one MP3 file). I commonly have to pause the file and finish listening to it in two or three sessions. I have tried two different MP3 players, and when I restart a file, it plays from the very beginning. Are there any MP3 players that will hold my place and restart the file where I left off?

The latter is probably your best choice since you may want to listen to music between lecture sessions. Fortunately, there are a number of good players that will bookmark, or save an exact point, in an audio file so that you can resume the file at a later time. This is also a handy feature for fans of Audible digital books.
