Transferring iTunes library to a new PC

| || |How do I transfer my iTunes library
from my iPod
to my PC? Or, alternatively, how do I transfer my library from my old PC to my new PC?
| |Great question.
First, you can't sync music from your iPod to the PC--it goes only in the other direction. However, you have a couple of options. You can burn the files to a CD or a DVD, then copy them to your new computer, or you can use your iPod as an external hard drive to copy and transfer all of the files. (Unless you changed the default location, you'll find them in My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music.) Once you've transferred them, you may also need to deauthorize the old PC and authorize the new one to play music purchased from the iTunes Music Store. Apple's support site
has more details on all of this.
