I'm confused about the difference between Canon and Epson regarding their resolution, ink drop size, and prices. Canon has the iP4200 with 9,600x2,400 res, 5-color, 1,856 nozzle for CDN$175 (yup, sorry, I'm a Canuck from the great white north). Epson has the R340 with 5,760x1,440 res, 6-color, 540 nozzle at CDN$250. Paper handling is the same--speed doesn't matter to me, nor photo life. Even Epson's 8-color R800 is still 5,760x1,440. Where's the correlation, if any, between number of colors and the resolution? Am I not understanding something?
