Clearly, the winner is Vonage, and yet, it's not a KO. Pitting Skype against Vonage is not quite like comparing apples to oranges, but it's not exactly a fair fight, either. Your decision depends on your needs. If you're looking to replace your POTS line entirely, you should definitely go with Vonage or a similar class of product. It's a complete package, and the sound quality is excellent. On the other hand, if you want to supplement your POTS line with an inexpensive way to make international calls, Skype is a great choice, especially if you can get your friends to sign up for the free service.
