JUDGES: Justin Yu, Jasmine France, and James Kim

Here at CNET, we've been keeping an eye out for a hearty opponent to knock the video Apple iPod off its high horse and claim victory from the reigning champion of the hard drive-based MP3 player category. Although the iPod has old-school appeal and many previous versions to work with, we think the Philips GoGear HDD6330 will put up a worthy fight. A fairly new player in the game, the Philips touts similar features and even a few extra moves up its sleeve in comparison with the big Apple. Heck, the GoGear even gives the iPod's classic design a run for its money. Even still, we fear that the iPod's video capabilities--of which the Philips lacks--might just be enough to push it over the edge. Either way, this will truly be a fight to the finish.

Let the best player win! Ding Ding!
